Republican Party - (RNC)

"Initially united in 1854 by the promise to abolish slavery, the Republican Party has always stood for freedom, prosperity, and opportunity. Today, as those principles come under attack from the far-left, we are engaged in a national effort to fight for our proven agenda, take our message to every American, grow the party, promote election integrity, and elect Republicans up and down the ballot. The principles of the Republican Party recognize the God-given liberties while promoting opportunity for every American."

"Republicans believe in liberty, economic prosperity, preserving American values and traditions, and restoring the American dream for every citizen of this great nation. As a party, we support policies that seek to achieve those goals. Our platform is centered on stimulating economic growth for all Americans, protecting constitutionally-guaranteed freedoms, ensuring the integrity of our elections, and maintaining our national security. We are working to preserve America's greatness for our children and grandchildren. The Republican Party's legacy -- we were originally founded in 1854 for the purpose of ending slavery -- compels us to patriotically defend America's values. As the left attempts to destroy what makes America great, the Republican Party is standing in the breach to defend our nation and way of life."

Democratic Party - (DNC)

"Since 1848, the Democratic National Committee has been the home of the Democratic Party, the oldest continuing party in the United States. Today, we are millions of supporters strong, leading with our values, fighting for progress, and helping elect Democrats in every state, city, and ZIP code — from local office to the Oval Office. Our party is strong because it’s built on advancing our Democratic platform and forging positive solutions that include everyone. As Democrats, we believe that every person in this nation should be treated with dignity and respect. We believe that health care is a right for all and that we should be rewarding the hard work of middle class families. We believe that our schools and streets should be free from gun violence and that a woman’s decisions about her own body are hers to make. As the DNC, we are working together to build a bright future for everyone. We are fighting for the soul of our country, for the heart of our democracy, and for America’s place as the land of opportunity for all."

American Party

A very small, very conservative, Christian splinter party formed after a break from the American Independent Party in 1972. Beyond the pro-life, pro-gun and anti-tax views, the American Party also advocates an end to farm price supports/subsidies, privatization of the US Postal Service, opposes federal involvement in education, supports abolition of the Environmental Protection Agency, supports repeal of NAFTA, opposes minimum wage laws, opposes land use zoning regulations and opposes convening a Constitutional convention. Of course, the American Party also opposes the United Nations, the New World Order, communism, socialism and the Trilateral Commission.

American Independent Party

The American Independent Party gratefully acknowledges God as the Creator of all and appeals to Him for help in protecting all He has graciously given us. With all these gifts comes the right to use them justly. Hence all such rights are the gifts of God—as affirmed in our Declaration of Independence. These include the right to life and liberty. Platform: The Constitution: the Original Contract that America has with Itself; Freedom from "Liberalism"; The Protection of Life, and the Duties and Rights of Families; Marriage Between a Man and a Woman; The Individual and Common Defense; Opposition to Illegal Immigration and Support of Secure Borders; Our Great Pro-Life Constitution; Public Servants, Not Public Masters! American Solidarity Party (Christian Democratic Party)

Sees the need for a third party platform that represents people who are conservative on social issues but progressive on economic issues. Feels that Republicans, Libertarians and the Tea Party do not represent what they consider "Christ-like" behavior in political policy. Believe social justice, especially toward the poor, the weak and disadvantaged in society, and the elderly, is an essentual and universally understood morally "right" choice. Furthermore, they disagree with "Reagonomics," deregulation, and privatization, as a moral and ethical matter as well as a logical one. Environmentalism and supporting education are morally and ethically right choices as well. They feel the need to distance themselves from the political left due to issues that the political left supports such as; abortion, gay marriage, and militant secularism. Although they are a party that is based on the Christian ethos, they do not favor any church politically but do support churches and faith based institutions wholeheartedly. Many are "Red Letter Christians" but as a party they welcome anyone who sides with the basic platform and are willing to serve everyone with fairness and compassion.

American Third Position (A3P)

Believes that government policy in the United States discriminates against white Americans, the majority population, and that white Americans need their own political party to fight this discrimination.

America's Party

Believes we're One Nation Under God. The first sworn duty of every officer of government is to protect the God-given, unalienable rights to life, liberty, and private property of every person, from creation to natural death. The God-given institution of one man-one woman marriage and the natural family must be protected. The right of the people to Keep and Bear Arms shall not be infringed. Our national sovereignty, security, and borders must be defended. Our republican form of representative self-government must be adhered to. The oath of office to support and defend the Constitution of the United States must be fulfilled.

Christian Socialist Party Of The USA

The Christian Socialist Party USA affirms peace, equitably, justice, inclusion, and ecological integrity.  Links the wisdom of  spirituality with political activism.  We come from many Christian traditions, but we are united in rejecting an exploitative economic system and embracing a social and civil vision of personal and societal responsibilities.  Guided by the religious, spiritual, ethical, and mores that nurture us in common faith, we honor the sacredness found in people with respect for human dignity.  We lift up a society free from exploitation in defense of common sense and common law..

Christian Democrats of America

An organization committed to reforming social injustices, being a voice for those without a voice, a community to those without a community, and changing the perception of Christian values in action worldwide. As Christians we are called, as Jesus clearly states in the Great Commission, to act on behalf of and be a voice for the poor, in-need and vulnerable in our society. This is a calling that includes loving your neighbor, standing against injustice and exhibiting compassion in not only our individual daily lives, but on a national, social and political level as well – overall, the policies the Democratic platform supports best exemplifies these values.

Justice Party

New national political vehicle for disgruntled citizens who feel the Democratic Party is not sufficiently progressive. The early documents imply the Justice Party supports universal health care and LGBT equality, backs the Kyoto Protocols to reduce climate change, and opposes "the wars of the Bush-Obama Presidency."

Light Party

The Light Party is rooted in the ancient and powerful awareness, that that the Earth(Gaia) and all of Humanity are part of a connected, living matrix. As we move further into the 21st Century, we are evolving with increasing velocity towards an ascended, enlightened consciousness. As we, the people, become more unified, compassionate, peace-loving and aware, our values, priorities and choices naturally transform. We are continuing to work together in support of innumerable groups and individuals throughout the world who are working on a personal and collective level to dramatically improve the quality of life here on planet Earth.

Libertarian Party

Libertarians seek a world of liberty; a world in which all individuals are sovereign over their own lives and no one is forced to sacrifice his or her values for the benefit of others. Libertarians believe that respect for individual rights is the essential precondition for a free and prosperous world, that force and fraud must be banished from human relationships, and that only through freedom can peace and prosperity be realized. Consequently, Libertarians defend each person's right to engage in any activity that is peaceful and honest, and welcome the diversity that freedom brings. The world they seek to build is one where individuals are free to follow their own dreams in their own ways, without interference from government or any authoritarian power.

Peace and Freedom Party

Committed to socialism, democracy, ecology, feminism and racial equality. We represent the working class, those without capital in a capitalist society. We organize toward a world where cooperation replaces competition, a world where all people are well fed, clothed and housed; where all women and men have equal status; where all individuals may freely endeavor to fulfill their own talents and desires; a world of freedom and peace where every community retains its cultural integrity and lives with all others in harmony.

Prohibition Party

"If you are a reform-minded conservative and a non-drinker, the Prohibition Party wants you."

Reform Party

The Reform Party believes it is the champion of America, those who work hard to make a better life for their family in the field, factories, hospitals, and offices. And that means from blue collar to white collar, regardless of race, religion, color, creed, or sexual orientation. We oppose Free Trade because it is damaging to the citizens of both countries when there is a large difference in income. We oppose the aggressive use of the military except as a last resort in situations of clear and present danger to national security. We oppose the expansion of the Federal government and believe that more decisions should be made locally. We support the interests of small and medium businesses and individual entrepreneurs. We believe that earmark spending (pork) is a recipe for economic destruction. We believe that the role of the Federal government should not be as a provider of benefits and services, but generally the role of regulator and watchdog over programs administered at the state levels.

Socialist Party USA

The Socialist Party strives to establish a radical democracy that places people's lives under their own control - a non-racist, classless, feminist socialist society... where working people own and control the means of production and distribution through democratically controlled public agencies; where full employment is realized for everyone who wants to work; where workers have the right to form unions freely, and to strike and engage in other forms of job actions; and where the production of society is used for the benefit of all humanity, not for the private profit of a few. We believe socialism and democracy are one and indivisible. The working class is in a key and central position to fight back against the ruling capitalist class and its power. The working class is the major force worldwide that can lead the way to a socialist future - to a real radical democracy from below. The Socialist Party fights for progressive changes compatible with a socialist future. We support militant working class struggles and electoral action, independent of the capitalist controlled two-party system, to present socialist alternatives. We strive for democratic revolutions - radical and fundamental changes in the structure and quality of economic, political, and personal relations - to abolish the power now exercised by the few who control great wealth and the government. The Socialist Party is a democratic, multi-tendency organization, with structure and practices visible and accessible to all.

Socialist Action

A national group of activists committed to the emancipation of workers and the oppressed.  We strive to revitalize the anti-war, labor, anti-racist, feminist, student and other social movements.  In the process we hope to bring activists together from different backgrounds into a revolutionary workers' party that can successfully challenge the wealthy elite. Our ultimate goal is a truly democratic society organized to satisfy human needs, rather than corporate greed.

Socialist Equality Party

A political party of and for the working class. The SEP seeks not to reform capitalism, but to create a socialist, democratic and egalitarian society through the establishment of a workers' government and the revolutionary transformation of world economy. We seek to unify workers in the United States and internationally in the common struggle for socialism—that is, for equality and the rational and democratic utilization of the wealth of the planet. Platform: For the international unity of the working class; For an emergency social and public works program; For the nationalization of the banks and major corporations; For social equality; For an end to militarism and war; For the defense of democratic rights.

Socialist Labor Party

The Socialist Labor Party (SLP) is the original party of socialism in America. Organized as the Workingmen's Party in 1876, the Party was renamed in 1877. The SLP's goal is a classless society based on collective ownership and control of the industries and social services, these to be administered in the interests of all society through a Socialist Industrial Union government composed of democratically elected representatives from all the industries and services of the land. Production would be carried on for use instead of profit. The SLP program for achieving this revolutionary change from capitalism to socialism is based on the Marxist tenet that socialism can be achieved only through the classconscious action "of the working class itself."

Socialist Workers Party

Originally pro-Trotsky faction within Communist Party USA. Formed in 1938 after the CPUSA - acting on orders from Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin - expelled the American Trotskyites.
